Instructions — Backup onto CDs or DVDs
Note the following tips when backing up onto a CD or DVD:
1. Packet writing software
2. Initializing the storage medium
Before making a backup the storage medium first has to be formatted using the packet writing software.
Formatting can also be done automatically via a command-line command before every copy operation using cdrtools (freeware).
To do this, create a batch file using the requisite command and run it via the Programs profile property (Profile Properties – External – Programs).
Example of the contents of a batch file: C:\cdrtools\cdrecord.exe dev=0,0,0 blank=fast

3. Backup into a ZIP file
When backing up into a ZIP file, the option for using a temporary folder has to be enabled.
